Update: Jan. 4, 2019 - One of the biggest drawcards of the men's 2019 ASB Classic is out of the tournament. Two-time Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych, who was set to make his first visit to Auckland, has pulled out of the tournament after reaching the final of the Doha ATP event. Berdych, who reached a career high ranking of four, was one of the biggest names in the field after being granted a wildcard by tournament director Karl Budge last year.
Welcome to the ASB Classic Tomas Berdych
One of the biggest servers on the Tour with a booming forehand, Berdych has been at the top of the men's game since breaking into the Top 10 in 2007. With 13 ATP Tour titles to his name he's one of only three players to have beaten the Big Four (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray) at Grand Slams.
