Tomas Berdych's miserable summer on the Wimbledon grass continued as he was knocked out in the first round of the Olympics by Belgium's Steve Darcis.

Belgian Steve Darcis, competing at his second Olympic Games, caused a major upset Saturday at Wimbledon when he beat sixth seed Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic 6-4, 6-4 in 86 minutes.
Berdych lost to World No. 87 Ernests Gulbis in the Wimbledon first round last month. Darcis hit 27 winners to advance to the second round, where he will play Santiago Giraldo, of Colombia, who defeated American Ryan Harrison 7-5, 6-3.
Tomas slipped and fell many times. Berdych: “The grass was weird. Never played on such a surface. I couldn’t play my game. I was clueless.”
